Pop in to our pop-up shop this holiday season! 5 weekends between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. We will have books, toys, games, and book-ish items for your browsing pleasure. We can do special orders for pick-up. Or, shop through the link below to support us 24/7.

Pop-up weekends:

  • Thanksgiving Weekend, 11/29-12/1

  • Holiday DeLights Weekend, 12/6 - 12/8

  • Fall Farmers’ Market Weekend, 12/13 - 12/15

  • Pre-Christmas Weekend, 12/20-22

  • Post-Christmas Weekend, 12/27-29

    • 12/28, from 2-6, we will donate 10% of all sales to Perry Fire Department.

    • 12/29, from 1-5, we will donate 10% of all sales to Perry Rotary.

Pop-up hours:

  • Fridays 4-6

  • Saturdays 10-6

  • Sundays 11-5

What is a pop-up, and why have one?

A pop-up shop is a temporary retail space and for us, a combination test of concept, membership-launch and living laboratory. We will have a TON to offer you and we have a TON to learn. After Christmas we renovate the space, and aim for a full opening in Spring of 2025.

Membership

$100 per household annually gets you 10% off every regular-price item in the store, starting now, and will last one year from our spring opening. You also get a free drink during your birthday month, free gift-wrapping when you want it all year, invitation to a members-only event. And you can choose one book for us to stock on our members’ shelf along with a shelf-talker to describe why you love it. Click below to join!

Act 4 Books is a "CSB" - Community-Supported Bookstore - we’re here to enrich your life, be your reading buddy, your gaming buddy, your go-to gift spot. It’s a community space and a community asset. And to make it sustainable we are building it on the foundation of members (see above) and investors.

Perry is known for its "Main Street LLC" model: community-wide investment groups who put in "only as much as you can afford to not see again for a long time". If we want a bookstore, we are empowered to help make it happen! It’s the secret sauce behind over 40,000 sf of renovated space in downtown Perry, the brewery next door, and now a local bookstore.
